Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Red 11 Media LLC (“we”), which makes AskTask. By creating an account or using AskTask you agree to them. If you use AskTask for a business, you agree to them for that business.

Your account

Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used it. If you create a studio, you’re responsible for the people you invite, as teammates or as guests, and for what they can see, including the parts of a suite you let a guest open and the items you share with them.

Plans and subscriptions

AskTask is sold per studio as a monthly or yearly subscription. What each plan includes and costs is on the Pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and don’t include sales tax, which is added where it applies. Team includes 3 people; each person added beyond that is billed at the price shown. Guests you invite to a suite are free on Pro and Team: they don’t need a plan and aren’t counted as people.

Trials and free-access codes

Your first studio starts with a 14-day Pro trial; no card is needed. Each person gets one trial, so studios you make later share its end date. Invited beta testers get every feature free during the beta. We may also give other free-access codes, each for a set plan and period. Free access ends on its end date, or for beta testers when the beta ends, and nothing is charged unless you choose a plan. We may end or change free access, with notice in the app.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. If we change a price, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal.

Payments

Once checkout opens, payments are handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle processes your payment, charges any sales tax and issues your invoices, and Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to the purchase.

Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of any charge. How it works is on the Refunds page.

Early access

AskTask is new. Features given to beta testers or marked as early access may change, stop, or have problems. Feedback you send may be used to improve AskTask without any obligation to you.

Your content

What you put into AskTask stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run AskTask for you, as described in the privacy policy. You’re responsible for having the right to add what you add, including the messages and files of the people you work with, and for keeping to any agreements you have with them about their information. If you’re invited to a suite as a guest, what you add there is available to the people who run it.

AI output

AskTask uses AI to suggest tasks, answers, plans and drafts. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, so review it before you rely on it or send it. Nothing is filed or sent without your approval. As between you and us, what AskTask makes for you is yours to use.

Acceptable use

• Don’t use AskTask to break the law, or to store information you aren’t allowed to share.
• Don’t try to reach other people’s studios, overload the service, or get around its limits.
• Don’t put health, student or financial account records into AskTask until a version built for that kind of information is available.

Guests

A studio can invite guests into a suite. The studio decides which parts of the suite a guest can open and what they can do there, can change or remove their access at any time, and is responsible for what it shares with them. A guest uses AskTask only inside the suites they’re invited to.

Availability and changes

We work to keep AskTask available and your information safe, but the service is provided as it is, and features may change. We’ll tell you before a change that removes something your plan includes. You can stop using AskTask and export your information at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or aren’t paid for.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Red 11 Media LLC isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability for AskTask is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Polk County, Iowa.
